CoonFunny complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). We respond to valid takedown notices submitted by copyright owners or their authorized agents.
Filing a DMCA Notice
Send your notice to dmca@coonfunny.cc (or admin@coonfunny.cc). To be actionable your notice must include all six items required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- 1. Signature - physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
- 2. Identification of the work - describe the copyrighted work you claim was infringed (title, registration number, or a URL to your original)
- 3. Identification of infringing material - the exact URL(s) on CoonFunny that you want removed
- 4. Your contact info - full legal name, mailing address, phone, email
- 5. Good-faith statement - "I have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law"
- 6. Accuracy under penalty of perjury - "I swear under penalty of perjury that this notice is accurate and that I am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right"
Response Time
We review valid notices within 24-72 hours and remove or disable access to the material. We notify the uploader (if identifiable) and provide them a copy of the notice.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may file a counter-notice. It must include:
- Your signature (physical or electronic)
- Identification of the removed material and where it was located
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was due to mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, phone, and consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal court in your district (or the Netherlands, if outside the U.S.)
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice
Send to dmca@coonfunny.cc. If the original claimant does not file a lawsuit within 10-14 business days, we may restore the content.
Repeat Infringers
Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing content will be terminated.
False Claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly misrepresents infringement may be liable for damages, including attorneys' fees. Please do not send frivolous notices.
